What If....

Tonight I'm whipping up a pot of cauliflower soup.

The recipe is found here.

I've never made this recipe before but it pretty much has to be good.

Trying something new got me to thinking....

What if I actually made every recipe that I've Pinned so far.

That would be 257 recipes!!

Doesn't it all look wonderful?

Do you cook the recipes you come across or do you stash them and forget them?

In 2013, I'm going to try new recipes.

I'm pretty sure we've had tacos, spaghetti, and a few other things at least 8,263 times!

Now tell me...what recipe have you Pinned or saved that you loved?

I try tons of recipes from Pinterest. I've been surprisd how often they don't turn out. I have started a seperate board for recipe successes. That way I can keep track of them.

What haven't I pin? LOL! That is a good New Year's resolution. I think I'll join you. Maybe we can make all our pinned recipes over the course of the year.Ha! I'd be as big as a barn! I've pinned so many sweets!

I'm so behind...I haven't joined Pinterest! But I thought of you today. I stayed home all day. I was poofing the pillows. I went into every room and did a little something. I even got a new pillow sham and put a bed pillow inside to put on the sofa in the lanai. It felt great just to stay home while we had some light showers. Hugs!

I am sure my "pinned" list is longer than yours, and I am still smiling at the 8,000 number for tacos. Great post! Love your honesty.

YUM! I love Pinterest recipes, and I have made lots. Mostly I change them up a little -- those Chicken Puffs were adapted from a recipe I found on Pinterest. I want to hear about the cauliflower soup, we make pureed cauliflower now sometimes instead of potatoes and we just love it. I should post my recipe -- I add roasted garlic and marinated artichokes and it's just delicious.

You know what? I'm guilty of doing that. I print recipes and save them in a drawer and forget about them. However, I have made a few that I found recently. So, I guess it's not all bad. I'll get around to them eventually. The recipes that you're thinking of making look delicious!

I have been trying several new things because I have changed to clean eating (nothing processed) a little bit harder for me to be creative so I am on the hunt for some new ideas.

I try to make one new recipe a month, at least. If it's not a busy week I do one a week.

I have tons of recipes I've printed out! I go through them now and then because something that appealed to me 6 months ago may not appeal to me now (don't have a clue why :D )

I try some and others sit there until I remember to look at them again!!

Those all look good!

Now, I am really good at trying new recipes (which is why I am having to walk 3 miles a day, lol). I also love to cook. Call me when you start making all of the new recipes so that I can come and eat with you! I am going to try and find you on pinterest so that I can follow you :)

Teresa@oursoutherncountryhomeandfarm said...

Oh, I already follow you. Going to check out your recipes.

I've only tried a small percentage of all I've pinned. A couple favorites: Pioneer Woman's garlic and wine porkchops and a fabulous pumpkin cream cheese roll.

Hi Stacey, I'm guilty of that too, but I'm worse about pinning projects that I'll never get around to. Maybe that should be my resolution! So much inspiration out there...so little time!

I have tried some pretty good recipes from Pinterst. Of course I've pinned hundreds I'll never have time to try, but you never know. I do a Pinterest Try Tuesday I will resume after the holidays. Like you, it's going to be a year of trying new things. Wishing you and your family many blessings in the New Year.
